Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and troubleshoot bill cycles in the PET environment and support PET activities.
  • Design and execute complex, multi-variable test scenarios across rating, charging, invoicing, and payment processing.
  • Manage test data provisioning and validate voice, SMS, and data usage across open and closed billing cycles.
  • Proactively identify missing billing/test-data scenarios, flag risks and gaps, and drive them toward resolution.
  • Collaborate across engineering and QA teams to modernize billing test automation, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.

Must-Have Skills

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in telecom post-paid billing domain.
  • Expert-level understanding of end-to-end billing lifecycle — rating, charging, invoicing, payment processing, AR, collections, and credit management.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Samson Billing / Samson billing platform.
  • Experience working with Samson Billing execution, billing cycles, bill generation, billing jobs, AR processing, and related billing utilities.
  • Strong knowledge of usage data concepts — voice, SMS, data usage across billing cycles; understanding of billed vs. unbilled usage.
  • Billing cycle expertise — open vs. closed cycles, cycle close date logic, and multi-cycle data relationships.
  • Experience with telecom BSS platforms and billing execution utilities.
  • Hands-on experience with test data provisioning in NPE/QA environments.
  • Experience designing complex, multi-variable test scenarios for billing systems at scale.
  • Exposure to modern automation tooling, API-driven platforms, or CI/CD pipelines in a billing context.

Required Qualifications

  • Exp: 10+ years of hands-on experience in telecom post-paid billing domain.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Samson Billing / Samson billing platform.
  • Deep understanding of billing cycles, usage, rating, charging, invoicing, payments, AR, collections, and account lifecycle dependencies.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills — able to identify root causes, document requirements, and collaborate across teams.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations applicable to telecom customer data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Samson Billing and/or Amdocs carrier-grade BSS implementations.
  • Prior involvement in BSS modernization or platform migration where test data strategy was a gating factor.
  • Experience with test data management tools and self-service data provisioning platforms.
  • Ability to assess when production-derived data is essential vs. when synthetic data is sufficient.
